I'm wanting to know what a 225/50R17 looks like on a 17x7 wheel ? And what a 275/40R17 looks like on a 17x10 wheel?

Can't help on the fronts, but my previous '69 ran Nitto 555-R2 (275/40-17) on 17x10 wheels. Nittos run a little more narrow than some brands, which can sometimes benefit you clearance-wise.
