I'm looking for a new set of 18" wheels. I like race-oriented styling and I'm not that crazy about full-polished wheels. The wheels must look good on both my '69 Z28 and my '87 Z28 (same offset works on both). The '69 is white with black stripes and the '87 is flame red metallic. Any suggestions on what might look good in terms of style and color?

Here are the cars...

Nice look Neil with the Minilights,I can understand you not being a fan of all billet shiny wheels,me neither. All my cars have wheels with a grey face for that "competition" look...:box2:
I have a set being made right now for my Chevelle (18x9/18x10's) that hopefully should be here next week...if all goes well. They're Bonspeed Huntington's (5-spoke) w/dark charcoal centers.
Try Jon Henson @ www.driverzinc.com for good advice,Jason Rushforth has some nice designs as well in an 18" format...look at the Rated X wheel and tell me what you think.Just imagine it with a charcoal grey or black face.

There really aren't too many wheels that will look "right" on both of those cars. The cars are completely different, and the black stripes on the 69 might clash with charcoal colored wheels that would look great on the 87.

The first wheel I can think of that would look great on both is a Fikse FM5 in 17 or 18 with a technipolish (machined) face. Plus, you said you prefer the racing look. Fikse wheels are built for racing specifically, and are very lightweight 3-piece wheels. I can quote you some prices on them if you send me a PM with your sizing requirements.

We can do a powdercoat on any of our wheels, either two piece or three piece. That would allow you to get away from that full polished look. The website links are in my signature and if you have any questions just let me know. We're running a group purchase until May 11th right now.
