Has anyone used the Nexus guages and how do you like them. Thinking of using these or the Dakota digital in a 67 Camaro.

The Nexus gauges look VERY nice in person and would be a great addition to any pro-touring vehicle. These are the gauges that I will inevitably end up with, but in order to stay within my budget I decided to go with Stewart Warners for now. The Nexus gauges are crazy expensive!

I was going to post the same question. I got a new Autometer catalog the other day & they now have a full line of Nexus gauges (I think in the past they only had a few). Anyway my concern is not only do you have to buy the gauges but a computer of some sort to work them. And it looks like if I wanted a speedo, tach, water temp, oil pressure, volts, & fuel gauges I will have to buy 2 different computer boxes to drive them, one box will not drive all.

I looked into nexxus gauges for my car but ended up with ulta lite II's do to the price of the nexxus setup!

YOu only need one computer but you will have to run 2 loops off of it I believe. You can only piggy back 5 gauges I think one on loop but I know one of the computers would do 2 loops!

I like how the Nexus gauges will turn red to warn you about something out of spec.

Personally I like gauges that look stock and don't take away from the classic car look. I went and put Stewart Warner's Max Performance Line in my stock carrier:

very happy with it so far (still a part thou).

Here they are. Not much to see with Nexus as they are tinted gauges. There is a dash picture in the second row. It is the three tinted gauges on the right.

I wish autometer would make them in 2 5/8" and 5" for speedo and tach. Or atleast they could make a set of cobalts in 2 5/8".
