      another tall spindle question

hey guys i got a set of spindles off a 1980 camaro with 11" rotors i want to run these on my 82 cutlass with wilwood #140-9053 to match my rear.
Another reason i want to run this setup is because i'll be running 15 wheels when i hit the strip and 16 or 17 on the street.
Do i need new upper control arms? or is there a better/ less expensive way to do this all i have is the spindles right now if i go ahead i'll have to buy the wilwood kit and upper control arms

Im not fluent in the B-body world but I believe it is a straight over swap. You could go with the aftermarket replacement tubular arms if you wish but I don't believe it is a requirement. It might set you more caster.

Shorter uca's are a requirement with b/f body tall spindle swap. Aftermarket uca's price range is anywhere between $100 to $500 for a set. Or you could be really cheap and shorten the stockers like I have. Without the shorter arms the fronts will have way too much camber. With this swap bumpsteer can be a problem. The easiest way I found to reduce bumpsteer is fabrication to the draglink in which the inner tierod is lowered.

The first time I dropped the inner I lowered it about 1". My car drove alot better with no hint of bumpsteer anymore but I never did measure if I had any toe change. I swapped to Astro van spindles (required a lower ball joint sleeve) and bumpsteer was very noticable again. This time I checked toe change on the alignment rack before I welded it all back together.
