Anyone using Wheel Vintiques 17" Series 90 Billet Rally wheels and Touring Classics AFX C5 (12.7") brake kit? I really like the look of the billet Rally wheels but am trying to figure out if I will have fitment issues with the C5 brake kit. I figure a spacer might be required but trying to figure that out and if so how much of a spacer.

Thanks in advance!

Give Wheel Vintique a call. They should be able to answer your question. I picked up a pair of 15x8 steel rally wheels from them and had questions for my disc brake set up for my 64 Chevy C10 and the person I spoke to was very helpful.

I am using the brake set up with boyds. Just make sure that the wheels have a 1" caliper clearance (mine had to be sent back to Boyds because the f'd it up, now they have 7/8" and clear. Noel can help you with the rest. I believe only the TT2 have problems with these brakes.

Thanks for all the info. I am assuming VWW = Vintage Wheel Works? Do they have a 17" Rallye wheel?

Unfortunately not... but WV makes the best billet Rally's. That is for sure.

I tested the C5 template from Kore3 on a WV billet rally and it didn't fit. The caliper hits where the center joins the hoop and the caliper bracket hit the center of the wheel. Probably would take at least 1/2 - 3/4" spacer for clearance.

I know most people don't like spacers (especially 3/4") but I am wondering if a wheel adapter of that size would let me run the Rallye wheels safely.

Anyone have any thoughts on wheel adaptors?

Tom,

I saw Jody's stuff fit on Malitude as well. So the AFX\Touring Classics C5 combo fits inside the 17" VWW? V40 & V45? :dunno: Thanks. -eric
