No pics of glass but I am changing from clear to tinted. Windshield already been changed. Doing side and rear glass soon. IMO I think tinted looks more classy looking.

Which tint? THe factory "green" tint or an aftermarket smoke/gray tint? I like the look of the factory green look.

I have clear side glasses ordered....The windshield will have the factory tinted top...And my rear glass will be smoked from the factory I am having it made at...So, I will have to add a light tint to the side glasses to blend it all out...But, if I was going to run without any tint at all...I would have to go clear glass all the way...

It really depends on the color of the car as to whether green or smoked look better and clear is always hotter in the sun.

i went with the smoked glass kit from GP Superstore for my 69. i started of with the clear from NPD, but the smoked looked much better IMO. not to mention the price was a little cheaper than the clear glass.

Clear gives that fully original, factory-correct look, especially if you’re going for a restoration vibe. Tinted (whether factory green or a light smoke film) adds a bit more depth and “finished” feel, plus it helps cut glare and heat, which is a bonus if the car actually gets driven.

Most people seem to lean toward a subtle tint, nothing too dark, so it keeps the vintage look but improves comfort. Factory green tint is a solid middle ground if you want period-correct style, while a light aftermarket tint can look cleaner and more modern if done right.

Also worth considering is cost and how different tint levels affect visibility and legality depending on where you are. There’s a simple breakdown that helps estimate options and pricing, just click here:

For a classic like yours, a light tint (around 35–50%) usually hits the sweet spot, still classy, but way more practical than full clear.
