      TH-400 Gear Vendor unit

Hey guys anyone out there running a TH-400 with a Gear vendor unit.

I was thinking about putting one into my 68 bird and was wondering how easy installation is and how it drives? Any feedback would be great.

I installed one in a Chevelle. Had to make some clearance in the tunnel, (BFH), shorten the drive shaft, and wire it up. It may be tighter in an f-body. Also I had to move the exhaust a bit. There are a few ways to operate the unit, manually, auto mode, or with the new controller they offer. As the shifting is a little bit harsh if unexpected, the owner shifts his manually. It's kinda like driving a big rig with a hi/low setup. If the revs are right it shifts pretty smooth.

      gear vendor

I installed one in my chevelle and it was as HILROD stated above, well worth the price. My car pull's like a freight train using the gear splitting and with 3:70 gear love the overdrive on the highway.

I put one in my 1972 Camaro, did have to modify the tunnel with a block and hammer, but went in smoothly after mod. You will have to shorten the driveshaft but it is worth the trouble. It pulls like crazy behind my 468cu.in. big blockwith 3;42 gears. I think you will like it.
