I am thinking about having some metal parts plated. They are normally chrome. What are some different options? and what are the pros and cons for them.
I talked with someone about nickel plating but he said that after a few months that moisture would get to the metal and then begin to rust?
I have heard of black chrome but does anyone know about this or have some pictures?

I was at the OC GoodGuys car show and remember someone posted a question about black chrome. Enjoy

besides badpenny, that was the only other really good car there. the black chrome was awesome, but he said the epa wont allow it to be done in cali.

We do stuff in Nickel all the time and brush it with no problems with rust. you can also do Nickel and than clear powder coat to protect it depending on where you live. other options are the Black chrome or brushed chrome both very nice
Good luck

I second the nickel. I did a bunch of parts in nickel, and they turned out great.
