I'm planning one for my first gen Firebird, looks better and the compartments are user friendly.

I run one in my current '68. I like it as a place to stick some gauges and a support for my leg on long trips.

I want to do the '68 that's under construction without one IF I can make it comfortable for long trips. I'll probably go with better seats (with more thigh support) and a small extension of the center of the dash to carry a bunch of gauges.

I've got one in my 67, using it because it is the original and part of the RS deluxe interior package that my car was equipped with originally from the factory.

Decided not to use the original because it isn't that usefull for storage and wanted to avoide rattles and whatnot.

Would love a custom one with more modern itesm like better storage system and cup holders.

No console for me. My car kind of turned into less is more on a few instances. However there are a lot of nice custom installs around here.

I had a console in my '68 Camaro and while I liked how it looked, it did cause some rattles and wasn't very useful for much other than housing my gauge pod.

My '67 does not have one as it was an original bench seat car. I just decided to use one of those removable "Humphuggers" from national Parts Depot. It is actually very comfortable as an armrest and has a nice amount of storage. Looks pretty decent too, in my opinion. Oh yeah, it also has cupholders and can be removed very easily if you don't want it in for a show or something.

I'm also going for less is more, so no console for me. I plan on having a billet column or paddle shifter. I may regret it after I buy my first cup of coffee...

I'm going to build a simple center console with two cupholders, room to house my cd player at the front and hopefully enough extra space to be able to mount my power window switches when i get them and the controller for the air ride system if i can ever afford to get that.

Wow Andy that looks real good. What model Recaro's are those they look perfect?

Yes!!

Makes it easier to run A/C to the back seat...
