Mounting a mirror in a door that never had one?

I have a set of 67 round Bowtie mirrors for my car, and want to put one on the passenger side, but it doesn't have the provisions for one.

Is this hard to do? I know I'll need to drill two holes, but what else will I need?

A backing plate to spead the load out on the door. The drivers door probably has it already incorporated into the door. Make the holes in the door slightly bigger than the screws. Search for some of the posts on bullet or 2nd gen mirrors. Those post should help
