Pearl paint on Chrome wheels?

Can it be done?I want Some Red rims but i want the chrome to show through the paint.Kinda hard to explain but i think i've seen it on some rims before.

That would be candy paint and it won't stick to chrome for long. Not likely anything will stick to them but a powdercoater could give you an expert opinion. Time for new rims or strip the chrome if they're aluminum.

Sema this year or last had pics of wheels from a manufacturer that were going to be irridesent over chrome they might have some that are mainly red tint. You'd have to search it tho. Also check the Tuner croud they are big into red chrome outter lips on the wheels.
