1969 Camaro console gauges

Does anybody know if the top panel at the front of the console is interchangeable with Firebirds? I'd love to use autometer's gauge pod to add more gauges to more my car without cutting the dash, but don't know if it will work. Seemed an easy solution if it fits. Unfortunately they are only listed as fitting the Camaro and console, but I thought maybe somebody had worked on both consoles and could confirm it one way of the other.
