A 275/60-15 tire is 28" in diameter. A 295/30-22 is 29" in diameter. You might search and see how low people have gone with a 275/60-15 to give you a starting point. You will have to remember the 295/30-22 will be wider though.

another possibility is the 295/25 ZR22..

this dodge magnum have rear that dimension, and the diameter will fit on my road runner. so i think on your chevelle too...

What wheels are these & who makes them?
      I'm kind of digging them.

Does anyone got better pictures of them?

You can get away with the 295/30/22, but anything taller you are going to run in to problems. Trust me, we've done plenty of chevelle's, and custom fitment, and we know what will rub. A 30" tall tire, will rub without modifying the wheel tubs.

Brian at Intro did a 20/22 combo. Here are some photos:

It's a little too much wheel for me, and too little tire, but to each his own. I've run that combo before on my Impala, and at that point, yes, they really are rubberband tires.

I'm with you on that one. I'd stay with 20's myself, but then again that's what makes the car hobby so great...everyone has their own opinion on what they think is cool.

      mmm..............

big rims are cool, but only to the point to where it's TOO big. 22's are fine in the rear but they are way to big up front. personally i like a car to be lowered at least a little w/or w/o aftermarket wheels and those guys runnin 22's and bigger kinda make a car look goofy. having them that big all the way around is for a truck and they obviously have no idea how much better it could look with a small height adjustment (staggered stance preferably) and smaller wheels up front. that silver chevy a few posts back is one of the best set-ups i've seen. here's a few more pics.

here's an 18/20 combo (top), a foose chevelle (middle), and another ride (bottom):

and this one on 22's all the way around is one of a few i sorta like:

I believe Budnik makes them. They are the "Mirage" wheels from the X-Series line.

Wow, looking at all these 20+, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Has anyone noticed the taller the tire, the skinner it looks, too?

now i'm no genius but can you explain this? does that tire look skinny to you?:

Hey Darth, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Mike said he dosen't dig 'em, you do. Cool, end of story.

But because the opinions differ does not mean one of you is wrong.
