Well I am building a 1964 chevelle 2dr wagon, and I am starting to get things together for the chassis. I am running ART A-Arms and ART trailing arms, on a stock boxed frame. I want to do a 4 corner big disc brake set up. I dont need 6 piston calipers, since it will be a driver/show car. By NO means am I trying to build this thing cheaply, but I like to stay realistic with my budget. My pocket isn't nearly as deep as some of the folks on this site with these sick sick cars..(my jealousy is seeping through)..lol So I am just trying to see what others think about the kits on the market, and what they favor. I have looked a little into Wilwood, and SSBC. Are there other comparable companies out there that wont "brake" my budget?..lol

Im liking that kit, I have been reading some of the nightmare stories about the drilled rotors. Do you have just slotted rotors?? and are the polished calipers powdercoated clear?? or any kind of dull/fade protection.

Don't worry about the stories since your car is a driver show car. They will look great on there.
Now if you had a driver/track car then i'd worry. Note, we have run the "quality" drilled and slotted hard with no problems.

Im guessing that the wilwood rotors are classified as "quality" opposed to the ebay rotors for $19.95...LOL

MrQuick is correct, you are in no danger of hurting drilled and slotted rotors. the polished calipers are not powder coated, so they give you plenty to do if you like maintaining things!

Its not that I like to maintain stuff, I am just trying to make it as clean as possible, and still see the caliper. The red and yellow ones are far to "sport compact" and the black is to subtle. So if the polished is just that with no protection, I may just go with silver, since the rest of the suspension will be silver and shades of gray.

Silver is super hot. Here is a blue set we installed yesterday on one of our builds. The car is back with blue stripes and is going to be very cool with these blue brakes
