opinions for trunk

Just wanted to hear some feedback on an idea for the trunk pan for my '68 'bird. It needs the center replaced and will be cut anyway, and I'm considering using a flat panel to tuck the gas tank up into the chassis and hoping that would help with using a late model caprice tank for efi. Thoughts, ideas, opinions lets hear 'em. Thanks

I would suggest putting some kind of rolled bead into for strength. A plain flat panel will be springy and will bend real easy.
