Hello,
Well its time to upgrade my '72 Monte Carlo, I have read a lot of previous postings but have some questions. I guess I will start with what I want from my up grades, I want a lowered stance 2 inches in front and 1 in the rear, a firm but comfortable ride, I will not be road racing but also want to hold my own when carving the canyons.
Currently the suspension is stock except for the Fat man 2inch drop spindles, I have read that they are not good for the A body. And the rear springs are just shot so I currently have the look I want but no performance.
Questions:
If I keep the Fat man spindles, do I get UCA’s made for tall spindles to elevate upper ball joint pressure?
I have read a lot about the AFX spindles but I’m not clear, is it necessary to up grade to C5 breaks? If so I will not be able to run my 15 inch wheels (plan to go to 17’s but budget is limited now)
I also want to run QA1 front coil overs for the adjustability. If I went to the AFX spindles will they work?
