E46 M3 wheels on the front of my '67

I borrowed an extra set of BMW M3 wheels from a buddy to use when I was aligning my car last week. With the BMW wheels I can use our special alignment adapters that do not require jacking up the car and compensating the sensors.

Anyways, I put them on in the front again last night to help diagnose a front end vibration and decided to snap a few pics to show you guys. These are the rear 18X9 M3 wheels on the front of my car with a 245/40/18 mounted on them. They fit the car perfectly with the 1/4" spacer that I always run with my TT2 wheels. I think the wheels have right around 6" backspacing, which is perfect for my Art Morrison subframe.

I just thought it was funny how well they fit and actually looked pretty good as well. If I just swapped out the center caps, it would almost look legit.

I bought the same wheels for my 1968 Chevelle just to have something to roll it around on before I buy the wheels I want.
I could have them widened 3-4 inches and keep them if I wanted to :O)

Do you have any idea what the offset is on those?

I think they look great, plus they clear the C5 Calipers with the spacer. Very cool.

Yeah, they didn't look too bad. I think they would have cleared the C5 caliper without any spacer, but I have longer ARP studs and the lugs would bottom out without the spacer in place. It also made the offset on the wheels perfect as you can see in the pics.

They are stock rear E46 M3 18" wheels. They are 9" wide, and I think the backspacing is around 6". This is too much for most older cars without spacers (was fine on the front and rear of my car due to the AME subframe and DSE mini-tubs). I think it is a 28mm offset if that sounds right. I tried the front M3 wheels on the front of may car as well, but they sat way too far inside. The fronts are an 18X8 with around 6-6.5" backspace.

Just to let you guys know, these wheels are for sale in the "for sale" section right now. Thought these would make a nice set of budget wheels for someone.
