Hey does anybody know if it is required to have drum spindles or just the drum hubs with the speed tech brackets? I have chevelle disc spindles and after coming across these brackets I think I wanna use them but Id rather not have to buy drum spindles although I could probably grab a set fairly cheap. Please lemme know thanks!!

Yes you do. My car had factory front disc brakes and when I did my big brake upgrade I got 69 front drum hub and turned them down so the C4 z06 rotort would fit over the hub. I used the disk brake spindles that were on the car.

I'd go the drum spindle setup -that way you can pull the complete disc setup off and either sell or store them for later use just my .02c

The difference between the disc/drum spindles is shown in this picture from David Pozzi's website. The upper bolt boss is shorter on the disc spindle. Therefore a braket made for a drum spindle would need a spacer to use on a disc spindle.

This picture from Speedtech's site illustrates the "height" of the upper bolt boss on the drum spindle-the recessed area on the back of the bracket.

That is correct, however, speedtch provides the correct spacer for the upper boss. Everything bolted up perfectly.
