Choosing a Paint color - WHY must it be so hard?

Hi guys...i have a '69 Firebird which is turning into a Trans Am while being painted.

It's currently yellow (from the previous owner) and i was thinking of painting it the new charcoal grey that comes on the 2007 Subaru WRX. Its a nice gunmetal color which fades to black in certain light.

Anyhow, any tips would be great. Im staying away from the tri-coat colors

Too much yellow for sure, and I like yellow. I don't care what color you paint it, but I LOVE the rubber on the quarter panels. Hope you do that again once you paint it! Killer performance numbers, love to see a video of a run.

If its turning into a Trans Am, why not paint it like one? White with blue stripes.

I was admiring the rubber accents on the rear quarters as well. Deep gunmetal is a good choice and would go well with the wheels pictured IMO.

Not crazy about the white/ blue stripes aka original T/A color scheme....its kind of boring to me.

I like that pic of the bird up above in Grey, and EXACTLY what i wanted to do with the scoops on the hood only i was intending on having them fade back to the rest of the car color.

Well gonna stick with the Subaru color....going to paint the ram air scoops a darker grey & fade them back into the rest of the body color. Just finished up the firewall mods...i'll post some pics soon
