I thought so too...
Said they were discont. or on back order for months because they were to have a new tread design or something...
But then one day they just appeared on tire rack..maybe they are blowing out the old stock??? For the price who cares!!

Two guys there that I know of ordered them. One's car still up on blocks but the other guy (2nd gen site) runs the snot out of his car and it's got a stout 420sbc with all the goodies.Nasty piece with tons of suspension mods as well.Gordo here can chime in...and I'm sure he will.
I'll get his feedback if that's what you're after.I'm sure he's none too shy about doing burnouts either...

picked up a pair just for giggles...lady told me they aren't being closed-out so they'll continue to be out there...$230/shipped to my door.
talked to my buddy that runs 'em,he had some steel wheels widened to 10.5 inches. He only has 1K on them and says they break lose in 3rd gear when cold but once he gets some heat in them it's all good.

I've got those tires in 275/40/18 on my 81Z. They hookpretty darn good for what they cost. I needed all the traction I could get with my carbed/cammed LQ4,th350 with 3200stall and 4.10s.

I thought you had the HTRZ-II, the 315s are only HTRZ.
Here are Tommy's 315s.

I've sold quite a number of those over the years. It's a good tire for how much you pay, but they don't grab a whole lot, so you guys with big motors, don't expect to slap these on and perform like a drag radial.
If you are looking for a good custom built wheel that fits that easy, is the 17x11 Budnik's. They stock that rim width, the only thing is it will not be a softlip (or FatLip) wheel. If you have any questions about them, feel free to email of call us.
Had those on my 93Z and will buy some again. You can't beat them for the price. As far as hooking up goes, they do ok with low horsies. If you want traction spring for a drag radial.
