27" tall 17" tire

Does anyone know of a 17" tire thats about 27" tall? Customer wants a 17x7 and 17x8 combo on his 1969 Mustang convertible.

I was thinking a 275 for the rear, but i cant find anything taller then 25.7, thats too short for the gears and tranny.

You could get something like a 255/50/17. That's as tall as you need and would fit an 8 inch rim better.

255/50-17 is 27.1 tall

255/45-17 is 26.1

I would use that combo with a 17x8 all around.

I think the Nitto NT450 is available in 275/50/17... that'd be 27.8" tall.

They are NT 450's. I'll take $85 each plus shipping. They're in like new condition.. no blems at all. I'm running them up front on 17x8's and that's the perfect rim size for them. If you need closeup shots just let me know, I'll take some.

The only thing is they dont have the front tire size we were going to run in the 450 tire.

thanks. One some cars (like 67-8 camaros) with round or big wheel wells, I think the extra tire height and a little more sidewall look better too.

i run 17x8 fronts 255/50/17 nitto nt450 27 inch and 275/50/17 27.8 inch rears on 17x9.5 nitto nt450's,they are wearing great and just right size for my vette.
