from what I understand that was a Euro market tire only if it exists but I don't get why it would not be sold in this country when it is such a perfect size for some of our bigger cars they must be made for just 1 or 2 hi end sports car because they sure won't work on a Renault

Yeah, It would be a perfect size to fill up that wheel well on these f-bodies. I am not going to give up that easy though. I Need that size of tire!
Thanks for your input.

That was an OEM rear for the McLaren F1. They used to be shown in the North American Goodyear catalogue, but I haven't seen them in there for several years. I'd suggest contact a Goodyear distributor to find out for sure.

thats a good size tire to put on a 1st gen, will it fit? mini tubs?
here is a good site that helped me http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp. It can compair tires and rim back spacing.
then it will give you the diffrence of before and after mesurments.

Yeah it is a big tire. if i am calculating it right it should be around 28" tall. I am sure it will fit, my car is mini tubed. I will take a look at that site you gave a link to. Thanks. As for the m/t's I was hoping to go a little wider.
Thank you all for your input.

Hey marc b are those the 295/45-17 m/t. How do those hook? Hows the handling on them?

315/35 will get you the same width if you can live with the shorter diameter.

I have a set...brand new and unused that I'm looking to sell. They have been discontinued and are no longer available. If you're interested let me know. Dealer price from Tire Rack on them new was $494 a piece. I'd be willing to sell them significantly lower than that. PM me if you are interested.

Speaking of drag radials, M&H does a 325/45/17, 28" tall x 12.1" section width:

:6gears:
They hook up good and the side wall is a lot stiffer then the BFG drag radials I was running before. For a drag radial they handle good. I have no complaints.
