I think I have decided on 17x7's up front and 18x8's torq thrust cl205's on the rear of my chevelle. Do you guys have any opinions on this or what might be a better set up. Eventually I'll try to squeeze some 10 or 11's in the rear but right now I just want to make it look a little better. Also what tire sizes should work with this? The wider the better.

17 x 8 with 4.75" backspace up front 245/45/17 and 17 x 9.5 with 5.5" bs and 275/40/17 fit quite nicely on my 67 el camino without mods.
Check here: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17
Look at the wheel database at the top of the page to see what sizes fit.

An 8" wheel fits with ease in the front. Actually, a 9" wheel fits okay if you nail the backspacing.

I am running an 8.5" wheel with 5.25" backspacing on the front of my '67 El Camino (245/35-19 tire). Wilwood brakes, stock control arms. 9.5" wheel with 4.5" backspacing on the rear (285/30-20 tire), but the rear end was narrowed 2"

On our DW Motorsports 67 Chevelle, we put Rushforth Wheel's 19x8's up front with a 4.75" backspace, and 20x10's in the back with a 6" backspace.

Do the 20x10's fit in the rear without modding anything or did it take a lot to get them to fit. Just asking because I'm limited on workspace right now and I'm just wanting to change the look of the car for so I can ride for a year or 2 and get ready to completely redo the car.

10" goes in with NO modifications. Call us, we can order the right backspace for you.
