I have swapped a LS2 motor in my 69 camaro and when looking for a tank I found a guy locally that built one for me. I thought I would share the info. It is a custom built tank built to factory dimensions with a sump added for the pump to sit in. It is fully baffled and fit in the stock location using the stock straps. I ordered the Tanks Inc walbro pump and a sending unit for the gauge and took them to him. I couldn't be happier with his work and the look and fit of the tank. A tank contoured like mine with all the angles cost around $500. He will need your stock tank or a detailed drawing with measurments along with the pump you want to use or he can supply a GM pump. I will add a few pictures of my tank. His main business is building aluminum radiators. Contact info: Tapp Inc. Located in Sophia, NC #336-861-9284 http://s271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/nc69rs/

Just curious, are you are going to have enough clearance between the sending unit and the trunk pan when it is installed?

Luckily it cleared ok! But I would have it recessed if I did it again.

Nice! For other 69's I wonder if he had all the info needed. Very nice alternative. Hmm.

I'm going to call him and see what he would charge me to build one for my '63 Vette.
