I can get a posi rear end out of 74 Camaro. Will it slide right into my 67?

I have read it is not a direct swap because the widths are different. A 68 to 73 Nova will work as a direct swap however (if that helps).

The width of a second gen rearend is 1" wider in total, so .5" per side. I put a second gen posi rear end under my 67 but you have to cut of the orig. leaf spring pads and install adjustable leaf spring pads to make it work. http://www.detroitspeed.com/productpages/indproduct/rearsuspensionprod/leaf_spring_pads_prod.htm

After that it just requires selecting wheels with the proper offset.

Nova, Ventura, Omega 1970 - 1974 use the same width as first gen Camaro and are 8.5" ring gear differentials.
If you relocate the spring perches, the 74 Camaro rear will work but it will move the wheels out .5" per side.
