Hey I have a '73 nova hatchback custom in the middle of some body modifications. Looking for some ideas on what to do with the taillight panel and rear bumper. I originally thought about cutting all but the boder of the taillight panel out and fabricating a new panle and roll pan. But I think I want something more beefy back there like a bumper. I have seen people run the '68-'72 rear bumpers but the reccess for the gas filler is always cut off halfway and looks dumb as hell. So I was thinking maybe cut out the taillight panel fill in and smooth with sheet metal, add my own custom taillights and run a '70 or so rear bumper and relocate the gas filler into the hatch area?? Another problem is someone backed into my car while the rear bumper was off and damaged that cross brace where the bumper would normally bolt onto so I have to try to straighten that too...
