      Brake Dust!

I've been running my mustang for a while now on the street and the pads I have on there are dusting pretty badly. I'm going to change them but I've noticed that the dust from them gets all over the body and it's really hard to get it off. Any suggestions?

Soap and water do almost nothing. I there something I can do to get it clean? I was thinkingthat I might have to clay bar it but I'm thinking that that may not even be effective.

yep, clay bar and lots of water or a mothers power ball. For next trime switch to ceramics, wax your rims or (my fav) paint your rims black.

Just came back from AutoZone with a clay bar and brake cleaner fluid!

      Thanks!

Hope you're not planning on using that on your paint!

LOL! No No No! Brake Cleaner is for the suspension parts that got all dusty! Will the Brake Cleaner affect powdercoated parts?

I'd test it on a small area on the powder- it may dull the finish or make it a bit chalky.

yeah I agree, keep that stuff away from your rims... stock suspension parts are ok. Make sure you do it outside, that stuff will kill ya.
