drop it all around IMO.

I don't think you can go much lower in the rear without running into the fender lips. I'd leave the rear ride-height alone, and drop the front 1.5" or so. JMO, of course.

I was thinking the same way I thought 2 inches would be too much and 1 not enough.... I was told to do springs not spindles because I will get some rubbing using the spindles

Drop springs on a G-body are the way to go (IMO anyway). I'm very happy with the Eibachs, but there are more budget-friendly options, especially if you're gonna leave the rear alone and just change the front springs. You could even try cutting a half coil off your stock springs first to see if the ride height is where you want it, and how it rides. Otherwise, switching to S10 drop springs or Moog 5660s will work.

I cant believe the 5.5" backspace on the rear works without notching to frame! I have 5.5" backspace on my GN and have to have the frame notched. This is also with aluminum drums which brings the wheel out 3/8".
