I've read some reports online that BFG g-Force KDW tires tend to be a bit noisey (i.e. road noise). Anyone running these that can tell if they've had similar experience(s) with them?

I have them on my daily driver + 3 other cars, IMO, no extra noise to my ears. My daily driver is an F150 and they are just as quiet as the passenger tires that came off the truck.

Our 04 GTO has had KDWS' on it since it was new. Never had any noise or ride issues.

I have heard the KDWS (i.e. the all-season version) don't have the noise problem, but the KDW (summer) do. But perhaps it's all relative. By the time the Flowmaster exhaust is installed and the entire interior is insulated with Dynamat, and the iPod is blaring I'd probably be lucky to hear anything from the outside world, period!!!:6gears:
Still... just wanted to get some KDW owner's opinions.

I have the KDWS from the rims I bought. The tread is basically shot but there is a bit of a drone if you really listen to it. If you think about it you will hear it but if you just dont mind it you probably wont hear it. My car is a V6 so I dont have the nice loud exhaust like most people on here so I hear it more but they have a good tread rating of 300, great stability and grip on wet and dry, and they look killer so I dont know. I'm kinda trying to decide if I'm gonna buy a new set for the ones that are shot or look into a different tire all together.

I have KDWS on one of my drivers and there is a very noticable drone. I hade Michelin PS AS tires on previously and they were near silent. The KDWS tend to be bad from about 40-70 mph with the "howling". Personally, I would be reluctant to put them on a driver again. On my old Goat you most likely wouldn't hear much over all the other noises the car makes. On the plus side, the KDWS look to wear rather well.

I had the KDWs on my last car which was a v6 tiburon and i couldn't hear them my headers and exhaust took care of any noise they might have made. Great tire too gripped amazing in dry and wet weather. When i can eventually afford wheels for the bird i already know im probably getting these tires again.

Thanks for the info guys. I've got a line on a set of brand new BFG KDW 275/40ZR17s from a guy I know on another forum who won them in a contest! :1st: He's selling them (never installed and still have stickers on the tread) for $500 for all four. But I had read of some noise issues with them, but doesn't sound like anything too drastic, so think I'm gonna jump on these babies before it's too late!
Thanks!!!!!

No complaints here, though kinda hard to hear tires over the engine...lol. But seriously, they are not to loud.
