Lately, Rodger and I have been getting into hotlapping as a way of stress relief so we've both been building up our 2003 Mustang GT's for the track. I recently bought mine and in the last week or so I started to do some suspension improvements. I took the car up to Ironworks so that I had access to all the tools I'd need. Thanks Jason for your help on the installation. Thanks Sean for bending the brake lines and last but not least, thanks Rodger for letting me use your facility and tools to get the job done! I guess he was tired of me using the excuse of "Well my car is stock and yours isn't!" so he let me use his shop! Here's what we did! LOL!

Front:

Tubular K-Member, Tubular LCA's, Bumpsteer Kit, Bilstein HD's, Coilover conversion kit, Wilwood Superlite 6 BB kit

Rear:

Lighter Road Race LCA's Bilstein HD's and Coilover conversion

Spherical bearing for the top of the rear shock towers

Caster/Camber plates for easy adjustment for the Track

Sean showing how much fun he's having bending the brake line!

Didn't have time to get the Panhard Bar or the Torque Arm installed but it worked out OK since the MAC Long Tube headers didn't arrive so we couldn't do the TA anyways. I'm also going to replace the rear axles with 31 spline axles, Posi and 4:10 gears. The rear brakes will be SL-4's.

Thanks Andrew! Rodger's trying to get me to buy his old(?) American Racing wheels since SOMEONE is putting Fikses on their 'Stang!:getout: :lmao:

I guess now that my car is better equipped for the track he's desperately trying to get an edge on me! LOL! J/K

K-Member is night and day on the car. That and the bumpsteer kit makes turn in SOOOO much easier! The only problem now is that now that the car handles better I find myself wanting more grunt! Will it ever end?!? LOL!

The spring rates/Shock valving are pretty stiff for the street but , hey, it's for the track right? I can't wait to get it out there and really push it!

I'm sure once I get the rest of the stuff on it'll be full steam ahead although now that the rain is coming our track days may be limited but I'm going to try and get out as much as I can!:bananna2:

Maybe I should keep the American and beat on you with those, Just to say I beat you with my dubs, and then install my Fikses and Procharger and you won't even talk to me.

You did well going with Maximum Motorsports. I have several friends who run MM cars in the American Iron series, and the cars really haul butt. The guy that started the company, Chuck, is a super great guy and offered me a lot of insight years back. Follow their recipe, and your car will perform very, very well. The torque arm will make as much a difference as the new k-member did up front, probably more actually.

Have fun!

hey Mark, you gonna be able to pop your head out of the cave long enough for a track day? I like to try and get out again myself.

I store the Camaro closer to Thunder hill trying to convince myself to get out there.

John, you don't need more power just less down force! LOL

You are right...it never ends.
