wheel lip/backspacing question...

is there an ideal lip/backspacing for rear wheels if you can pick and choose any size?

we're gonna go with some deep dish wheels on the back, and i was wondering if there's any theory on how much to go

i'm wanting to go with 4 inches of lip, so on an 18x10 wheel, that would be around a 5 inch backspacing correct?

the sizes don't matter as the rear and and frame will be adjusted accordingly

would 4 incles of lip look good?
