Hello, first post here.. for the rear of my 67' camaro....
I just put on some M/T Sportsman S/R 28"x10"x 15" on some 15 x 8's that replaced some burnt 275/60/15's...... I dont like the fit of the new M/T's, they are narrower than my old 275's
So, will some new 15x9's with 315/50's work?? The tire size is the same as the first two at 28" tall.. but will it fit without rubbing?? Anyone tried this combo yet?? My 67' is stock suspension, no minitub or flares.. Thanks ...

NO the 315 is a 12.4 in wide tread and that is WAY to wide.
The smallest rim I would butthat tire on is a 10 in rim and the rule is no morethan 2 inches wider than the rim.
Take first number and divide by 25.4.
Figure something in the 275 maybe a 295 is a stretch on 9s.
Use this comparer to see what it does for the tires http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

I think you need to tub to go wider than 275/285. 275 is the max most run in the back though I've heard of 285.
