67 GTO would this work at all??

Hey guys, ive been playing with the idea of mini tubbing my car. I know you can fit a 295 in a GTO with out tubbing. but i was wondering if i was to do what this guy did (see picture below) the way he notched his frame rails would it be possible to get maybe a 305 or even maybe a 315 tire in there?

see how he did his frame notch thats what i was wondering if that would be possible. i know the 295s are almost 12 inches and i dont think the 305 or 315 tires are that much bigger, but if i did what that guy did it would give me about an inch to an inchandhalf extra room.

If you step your frame in, make sure you make it strong enough.

haha ok that idea is out the window. I just cant figure out how you mounted the new shocks on bills frame and i didnt want to bug you again. I almost need like a picture if the mounts but i couldnt find one.

... and the difference between a 295 to a 305 is so not worth it.

haha what about a 315? just all the pictures ive seen with a 295 they just look small to me i dont know why, althought on nineballs chevelle the 295s look really wide is what im looking for. To me the GTOs looks funny when they dont have a wide tire out back i dont know if thats because the car is so wide or what. i jsut want a wide tire!
