That is awesome! I think our cars were very similar in original options: Base V8, RS package, 4-speed, Frost green w/ Vinyl top and green interior.

Got any pics of when you first started? I'd love to see those.

BTW, your project has progressed very nicely, you are doing an awesome job!

I just hope that the end product comes out as nice as yours. When I first got my car your car and Tony Whatley's 69 SS really gave me a lot of inspiration. Steve Rupp's build is where I would like to be down the road.

I got a question through PM... I thought that others may be interested as well...

To answer your more recent question - I shot the firewall with this gun: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=93305

It was done in the garage - I sweeped really well and wet the floor with a bucket of water before spraying. We have a 70 gallon air compressor, but with how low the air pressure is with the HvlP you should be okay with something smaller.

I don't think that I would do anything different - I think the the paint turned out really really well. I couldn't be happier with the texture or color. I originally shot the firewall with eastwood chasis black, but it was a huge mistake - it came right off with a little bit of laquer thinner.
