does anybody know what size bolt holds the caliper abutment bracket to the spindle for an ATS spindle. also what are they torqued to.

I used 12.9 M14x45mm item 91290A727 from mcmaster-carr.
tyler said to use a 40mm but the 45 worked fine.
These are socket head cap screws that take a 12mm allen. I paid almost $30 locally for an SK 3/8 drive.

Yes, M14 is the bolt. I torque mine to 85 ft-lbs with anti-sieze for thread lube.

M14x2 X 45mm HHCS, Class 10.9 torqued to 115-125 ft-lb.
I always run a hardened washer under the head for better load distribution and no marring/embedding. If you choose to use socket head cap screws, a cheaper method than buying a dedicated socket is to buy an L-wrench and cut an inch off of long end with a friction cutoff saw...then just use a standard socket.
