I don't know what it is about them but they always seem to be my downfall. I have easily had at least 20 seize on my since I have owned the car. Now another one just did it. I even chased the threads this time to make sure they were good. Now I have to take apart my discs again for the 3rd time and install new studs, once/if I can get this one off the wheel.:crying:

Just out of curiosity, do you grease your lugnuts? I had one seize on me a few years ago, started greasing them, and never had a problem since.

I haven't heard of doing that.

It doesn't take mutch. I just brush a light coating on the stud, and then run the lug nut down, and torque it to spec.

Are you using a torque wrench set to the correct specs? Sounds like maybe you're overtightening them since you've had it occur repeatedly.

Yes i am using a torque wrench, Sometimes it happens halfway down the stud, this time it happened at the end. I have been using Mr. Gasket lug nuts and i think they have alot to do with my problems. I'll be getting some anti-seize and trying it out.

Dont feel bad. I installed some wheel spacers on the Regal. They were aluminum. I went to take the wheels off one day and two STUDS spun inside the space in each side, about half way out. I had to take a die grinder inside my brand new wheels and cut them off.
