Howdy from Texas!

I wished I would have found this site when I was building my car. It is almost done now.

She is called Medusa. So named because of all the trouble she has been. Logic being that the snake reared its ugly head, and yep, you got it, Medusa!

It is a 1967 Mustang Fastback (nothing special, just an old automatic 2 barrel 289 car), with a Shelby aluminum 427FE stroked to 482ci, using a Vortech T trim S/C (non intercooled), buckled to a TKO600, 3.25:1 trac lock, 31 spline axles, front & rear coilovers, Baer track/tour brakes, sitting on BFG G Force TA KD's 225/45/17 on 8"s, and 315/35/17's on 11"s.

Thanks!

I thought I would post several engine pictures. Keith Craft built it. Shelby aluminum 427FE stroked to 482ci. Engine dyno said 815hp 733tq. But chassis dyno said 575/573. Since then, the lifters and EFI have been fine tuned. I think it is closer to 625/650 now. I need to get it back to the dyno shop.

You know your cars, but UP did not build it. I copied their $215K Super Snake, and then added a few things. Would be hard to tell them apart, except I expect perfection . I used a polished T trim S/C (instead of a unpolished S Trim), a radiator that does not overheat (polished), GPS, DVD, CD, HDD, Alarm, electric windows-trunk-door locks, etc.:nopity:

Where did you buy the UP parts? I looked on their site but didn't see any for sale, just cars.

Beautiful car. I just have always thought that hood looks rediculous.

They stopped selling parts Oct 2006. They were supposed to start selling again early 2007. ???????

My first thought was the same. But for clearance, it was either that or

I think i've seen the "orginal" Elenore hoods on ebay before. the bubble is a little more subtle on those ones. That'd be the ideal way to go.

All of the base & performance model (non supercharged) GT500E's have a lower hood.

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

All Super Snakes (supercharged) have to use the larger hood for clearance.

Makes me want to sell my Camaro and buy back my 68 Fastback.

By the way i like the brake lights how they light up in the center and then the whole bar lights up. Is that a kit?
