Is anyone running BFG KDW2s on their ride? If so, post some pics of your wheels/tires showing the tread.

I have saw pics on the BFG website, but have not seen any pics of the actual tire mounted on a wheel.

Attached is the pic from BFGs website...

No offense but that Tire pattern looks like it belongs on off road 4 x 4 truck. I like the original style better.

Has anyone used the old and new tread pattern? Any difference in performance?

They are going to continue the old pattern right?

You are going to run a 11.9" tire on a 69 Camaro w/ no mini tub? You going to roll the lips? I am not sure on the 69s, but on my 67 I have 11" clearance between fender well and lip. What do the 69s have?

Maybe you are not going to tuck it under the lip? I am interested to know...

I was going to put a 275/40/18 on my 18x9.5" wheel just because it was a 10.9" tire. I am still going to probably roll the lip just because I am cutting it close.

It wouldn't be accurate if I told you since the track width has been changed from original due to the suspension changes and brakes changes. If you still want to know, just PM me and I will measure them since they are still off the car.

The lips have been agressively rolled in the back. I have been running it like this for a while with only VERY minor rubbing. It hardly ever rubs at all when driven hard. Here is one pic of the stance with the same tire brand and sizes on the rear but worn out. The fronts pictured are 245's but 255's should work once I get the alignment changed.

Some other guys have done it as well. It has been discussed in the past.

Whew... That back tire looked STUFFED in there. Bad ass my friend - baaad ass!

If you get a chance to take a closer picture of the rear tire tucked in there I would love to see it!

they look and they last awhile..lol,well at least the fronts do.

Here is jegs link..

Out of the BFG Tires I have seen I think I like the BFG KDs - Not KDW or KDW2s.

The tread design looks pretty cool... Well at least I think so. To each their own though...

How do you guys like these tires? Im either going to get them or the nitto 555.

Damn True

The 555 has a softer compound and a stiffer sidewall. So the BFG's will last a little longer and ride a bit quieter. The 555 is better suited to use for auto-x and open track events. But the BFG is certainly capable of doing both of those things, just a degree or two less effectively.

4MuscleMachines,how wide are your 295`s if you measure them from side to side?are you running a 10" rim?

Thanks

Yes, 10" wheel. The width is a hair under 11.5" from the widest point on the sidewall to the other widest point on the opposite sidewall.

BFG lists the width as 11.9 on a 10.5 inch wide wheel.

I love these tires. Great in the dry or wet and the looks are unbeatable. I have them on my Lexus, on my Mustang and will put a set on my Falcon. The tread pattern is just awesome looking to me.

Excellent then they should fit if its about 11.5 on a 10".

Thanks:cool:

No they don't. Not stock sizes. Nitto just came out with the INVO tires that are made in stock C6Z sizes.
