I have the Airride Strongarms but I don't like their cross shafts. Really cheap looking.

Anyone knows an alternative that fits to these Strongarms?

Honestly the cross shafts are either designed similar to the originals or made to actually FIT in a specific place and I would pretty much guarantee you would have no problems with them.
Remember the only part holing a load id from the mounting bolt to the point the control arm mounts.
I was helping a customer set up his old car with ART stuff and the fit and finish and design are solid,,and I know the company too.
They may look weak or "cheap" but it may also be that the only way to make it function is to use a stock type part (ie the cross shaft may come from a stock application.
What kind of car are you installing them on? The 68 Camaro in your sig.?
And a picture of what you think is cheap/weak might give us a clue.

Global West makes a steel upper cross shaft but it fits stock arms. Don't know about the ART arms.

its not that they are not good but if you compare them to the nice stainless Speedtech shafts the ART shafts are very cheap looking. i do like the ART shafts for the GM A-body. they look a lot better.

question is: do the Global west / Speedtech shafts fit the ART arms?

and yes, they are for the 68 Camaro.

Cheap looking? They almost look like stock units. I'd be more worried about strength than looks, but that's just me.

I do agree with zbugger but if you have a question about ART stuff give Darren a call at 812-481-4706 and give them a chance to answer your questions or you can pm some of the ridetech guys from here on the forum too.

they sure look like stock cross shafts and there is nothing wrong with that.

hey guys, taste is a personal thing........

I understand that you guys think it looks okay but I like the billet or Stainless ones better.
Didn't know how they looked like before I received them. I saw the other ones for the A-body. they look okay.

I also contacted Darren from Ridetech a couple of week ago. He said that the arms were made to stock specs.

The only thing I want to know is if anyone knows or has experience with changing the cross shafts on these ART arms.

Have you considered polishing?
