69 camaro DSE dash/dash pad issue

I tried installing my dash pad in the car yesterday and noticed it needs to move to the drivers side about another half inch to fit the dse dash snugly. im not using the proper dash clips im just going off the 4 studs and all the screws that hold it to the DSE dash and sides of the metal dash.

the only solution i can see is slotting the holes for the dash studs so i can shift the pad to the drivers side more. should this be nesessary?

Did you try asking DSE? They probably could answer that for ya...

Please post up what the final story on this is. $550 is a lot of money for a piece of steel that doesn't fit right. If that is the case.

I'm installing their dash in my camaro right now. I have the exact same issue as this. I cannot even force the dash to the passenger side. I tried slotting the holes for the dash pad studs, but it still isn't right. I'm not sure what to do.
