What rim size? I assume that 18's would be okay. 17's would definitely need something to make them fit.

They are 17's I trying to find out what the minimum clearance should be for possible expansion issues and deflection. I need to run the least amount possible and was hoping someone has done this before I make another mistake when I get this set of wheels.

I am almost positive that c5 brakes won't clear 17's unless you do a hybrid setup (using c4 rotors) like those sold by Touring classics who is a sponsor at this site
Call Noel and let him know what you are after. He will be able to tell you for sure.
