If you had a TH350 then the trans mount will have to change, and the driveshaft will have to be shortened. A factory TH400 crossmember is close but the repops are impossible. On mine I lifted the car on jack stands level, checked that my oil pan sump and trans. pan were level. After doing this I cut the mounting ear off of the TH350 crossmember, bolted it to the 700R4 ( which is the same as a 4L60E) and tack welded it back to the crossmember in the right position, then removed the crossmember and welded it properly. As a note I did use the tailshaft housing from a late 80's vette which has a mount position as well as a speedometer cable type drive in it.This was on a '73 Camaro, The driveshaft gets nipped about 3" I think but the best thing to do is measure after the trans is installed and then take your measurement to the shop shortening it for you.The 4L60E should use the same driveshaft yoke as a TH350.
