where do you get blow through carbs..... and lastly how much will it all cost im guessing 6k total is that too low??????
i can get a 12:1 comp. compleate motor for 400 but obviously i cant run a turbo with that compression ratio so 8:?? is right correct????
help me out guys i want to build one so bad thanks for tha help :firefire:

Were you planning on using a factory block? 2 bolt mains and 700hp would scare the crap outta me, also having a carbureted turbo setup.... You should STRONGLY consider efi.

the block that i was going to get might possibly have 4 bolt mains havent got anymore info on it but i definetly know that i need to strengthen that bottom end.... I like efi but i dont like the price..... what are the cheapest they get too and what efi system would you recomend

I do not believe the twin may be right? They are very cool indeed, but the pressures and temperatures become so extreme I do not believe they would hold up long enough to get your money out of them. My brother and my uncle have probably went through about 20+ 351 Clevelands. They have about 5 sets of the holy grail 4 valve heads. Mostly Mud slingers and roundy rounders. Now my brother has a 84 POS spray painted Mustang that runs 12.3 in the quater on pump gas? It is a strong Cleveland. He hooked a 500 Hp fogger up to it and tried it out Ohio Valley. His time went from 7.89 in the 1/8 to 7.4 WTF, the spark pugs turned green and the gas did not work??? Paul, my brother was a sales engineer for Firestone Air-Rides(Mostly Semi truck stuff), Now he is Business Manager of Beijing China Firestone?? I think it has something to do with building a plant over there? He has some great stories! But like I said he is living in China?? WTF
Anyway, I am pretty ignorant about cars, but I know 351 C's tend to sh*t valves out like candy. My uncle and brother probably put a ton of money in these motors, probably over 3500 per build.
I would look at a magna charger as well. Super horse power that won't shread the cleveland like twins! Plus they are easier to run with carburated engines? I think?? Any of you twin gurus out there wanna help me out?
Nelson; Oh ye who rules the twin world!:candle:
explain please! Aluminum bullet proof blocks, titainium rods? Aren't these a must for twins? If you want reliabilty? Plus 14 PSI is way over kill for 700 HP, probably closer to 1500 Hp? Magna charger should put you close or at that number with 1/4 the cash of a good twin setup:)
Good luck either way! I would love to see a twin turbo Ferd!

Turbos are nice, but allot more work. I would suggest a 4 bolt, 8.5:1 forged bottom end and a wideband EFI to go with it. If you have the cash you will achieve 700hp easy with 14psi. I'm getting 800hp out of my 302ci small block with 15psi. Its all in the heads and cam.
If money is tight and if you can get a good 12:1 botom end for cheap. I would say spend your money on a good set of heads, cam, intake and valvetrain. This will yield 500+ hp without the headaches.
Horsepower is money...At least if you want it to last!

Yes i like that sayin bout horsepower it cost money if you want it to last LOL yeah i do rather pay once than 3 times LOL
how much dough did it take you to get to the 800 hp range
600-700 is more in my liking anyway saying this will be my first motor i have built (not my dads)
and speaking of cams whut specs are ideal for presurised applications like this

Blower cam specs won't have any overlap (boost killer) more exhaust duration and don't worry about a ton of lift. For any motor!
my cam example: Dur 284/290, Lift .533/.544, 114LC (-1deg overlap at .050)
my motor-
10K -bottom end
5K -heads (7 angle valve job)
2K -Valvetrain
2K -Drysump system
4K -Accel DFI wideband with intake,1200cfm tb, 75#inj, dual sync dist
4K - Incon 800tti Turbo System

I highly recommend Corky Bell's turbo systems book called "Maximum Boost".
Has answers to all your questions and systems design.

If you want a budget Twin Turbo Set-up for a Cleavland i have a twin turbo draw threw set up off my dads 351 c it made 600 hp at 14 psi .I have the turbochargers, webers for both turbos, and intake bonnet and intake manifold. It's pre-historic but it moves under boost. This was what i was cruising around in when i was around 8 years old.I finally updating my pops .Into injection and some bigger turbo's so if your interested 1000.00 bucks takes it all.pm my if you want it.Tom Nelson

There you go...I bet Tom could hook you up with the whole set-up....
10K for the bottom end is not hard to do.
Sonny Bryant billet crank - $1500
Carrillo Rods - $1700
Ford R302 4bolt Block - $1800 (machining required)
Those 3 items alone are 5K and can hold 1000hp all day long.
