Well if you are going to run 15's I suggest the panasports or minilites they are both closer to the original look than the Team III wheel.

Vintage Wheel also makes a nice 16, 17 and soon to be an 18" of the same wheel.

The VWW unit looks good in the photos, but up close the spokes are shaped all wrong. If he is going for an authentic look, which I assume he is since he's planning on running a 15 incher I think the minilite or panasport would look closer to the real deal of old.

If you have the budget I would go with the real Minilites. I don't think there is a U.S distributor any longer. It used to be Main Street Motorsports but he stopped importing them....don't know if someone else is going to pick them up. When I inquired about them last year they were over $300 per wheel for a 15x8.

Superlite also makes the same style wheel. I have the Team 3 wheels on my car but they are 17s.

If you grab a copy of Grassroots Motorsports there are a couple of ads for Minilite importers.

What about the American Racing Silverstone

Has anyone seen these and are they close to the minilite spokes.....I don't like the look of the VWW

Thanks for your thoughts

That is pretty accurate, a lot more so than the VWW version.

Here is the panasport.

If you look at the VWW, the spokes are much more angular and the center hub has square edges as opposed to the more correct rounded edges.

Here is the VWW wheel. It's not an altogether bad looking wheel. But it is not a very good replica of the real thing.

The panasports are going to give you the most authentic look. The center sections on the modern minilites are too big. Regardless of looks the Panasports were always favored in T/A because they're lighter. The wheels on the SVRA car I support are 15X8" with about 4.5" of back spacing. It takes a 1/4 spacer to clear the J-56s (JL-8?). Interestingly eventhough there's clearance a 8.5" hoosier causes enough flex for the caliper to rub the paint off the wheel.
