last week was 1 year owning and bulding Venny up..
it was a good start when i got it.. so it translated well over the last year to get it looking like it does.. but there is still a long way to go..
so i decided to make the progress thread.
it started out like this... solid car almost no issues.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
we go down to bodywork and fixing the little things.. the pans and floors were SUPER solid.. the guy who had her before me hardly drove it..
all original panels..
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
Installed DSE minitubs, Shaved handles, custom phantom grille, Shaved front valance,
shaved here and there.. installed 911 Porsche seats.. Marquez Billet tails.. vanity VENOM1S plate..
when it was first rolled out of the garage painted.. borat seal of approval.

Bow Tie 67
05-09-2007, 08:53 AM
Very nice indeed. Have you make all your posts this last year also? If so how did you find the time to work on the damn thing. Lol
I hope to see it at the year one event being driven hard. After all those new brakes want to flex their muscle.

A+++++++!!! The wheels looks great black!!
Mr.VENGEANCE
05-09-2007, 09:19 AM
Yea man ive only been posting on here prolly less than a year.. im such a post hoe.
nah i havent powdercoated the wheel.. i got a new set of wheels that look better black than the boyd do.. they are alittle more racey since some of the things i changed on the car is starting to go that route..
ill post them up soon.
i also powdercoated all the chrome trim so now its almost completely blacked out..
heres my seats..
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
the seats are from a early 911.. they suit the interior and stock dash perfectly because of its blockiness.
i kinda went to town this past year so thats why so much got done..
snapped a photo of my interior.. sorry for the weird lighting.
its dusty and i havent installed my pedals and Ididit steering column and shifter... seeing that it will have something in common with F1 racers soon.

ahahha if im not working on it.. im in front of the computer designing. so i take breaks on here if you know what i mean.
and yes she is going to be driven.. and driven HARD!.. it isnt a show car but a driver that can be shown.. with a few scars.. street fighter style. but it prolly wont be done for year one unfortunatley.. but ill still be there.. besides.. needs big stopping power behind this 406.

Thanks!!! It looks trick! I am definitely a fan of the Sinister look you have going on there...
Can you run round exhaust with the G bar? I thought I read somewhere that 3" round is a tough fit due the relatively low stance, and you have to run the Oval exhaust if you want tailpipes....

Actually i have to re-do my exhaust now to run it side exit.
after the Gbar it kinda made things diffrent.. but i am going to run oval 3 inch exhaust to get more clearance.
i did gain some clearance with the larger wheel setup, but my car is pretty slammed now..
also im planning to do a diffrent kind of bumblebee stripe on the front to bring the "face" out some.. nothing too wild but to bring out the grille.

We finished the rear wing..
i also had the second lip made.. just in case i destroy the first one.. the lip is boxed and full CF.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2007/07/CarbonLip1-1.jpg
with the other lip.. we added alittle more CF to the corners for better installation..
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2007/07/CarbonWing3-1.jpg
the wing..
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2007/07/CarbonWing1-1.jpg
on the decklid ZERO gaps.. just on the ends for clearance to the body... took us a WHILE to get this right. but a PERFECT fit.

more parts coming soon.. ill keep you fellas updated.

these are custom ones made for my car.. the front spoiler is longer and a little meaner than the stock one and the rear spoiler is more subtle we modeled it after a Cuda spoiler.. smoother.
i was originally not going to run a wing at all but after we made the spoiler it was a MUST.
but..
we ARE going to make stock spoilers and rear stock spoilers..
price we dont know yet.. but the quality will be TOP NOTCH, though.

any idea when that stuff will be for sale..what kinda gas cap you got????????
We are developing the parts right now, its possible that they may be ready for mass production very soon.
The gascap is a Motorcycle cap that i took apart and powdercoated.
it matches the look of the wheels.. all black but silver bolts.
I wonder if your rear spoiler could possibly fit my car?
Anyone know the diffrences between 67/68 rear spoilers and 69's.
the 69 spoiler is wider than the 68.. and im not sure but the recent Nova z28 thats going around used a camaro spoiler.. i dunno how much he modified it tho..

Already have a 69 Camaro spoiler on my car. It is just wide enough and with a little triming fits fairly well. I just want something lower to the car like your c/f spoiler. But if a 68 is not as wide I dont think it would work.

I think I'd seriously be interested in a 69 Spoiler. I have been wanting to custom make a sheet metal rear spoiler for a long time. But I'm without the skills and tools need to make a nice one.
Do you think when you make the 69 Spoilers they will be the exact same demisions as stock?? Or could you possibly make them a little taller???
Jims78elky
08-01-2007, 11:00 AM
Andrew, Just a thought.
Iam sure you saw this here..but Steve has a aluminum rear spoiler
thats killer, and IMO would look so good on your Nova.Nothing
wrong with the CF Camaro spolier..but how can you go wrong with
this style?..and it looks like what your Nova just needs! :worship:
Here is another link for pictures! You know how steve is about
quality in his products,it may cost a little more but a great part
thats a little different and edgy. Also congrats on the shot of
your car in the magazine, its a very sweet ride, great job on it.

Amazing car, just amazing...I was up at Roadkiller the other day, and was extremely impressed with the changes made to the car (both the ideas, as well as the execution). I can't wait to see it finished! Don't worry, I won't mention any of the cool stuff David and crew have done! :worship:

thanks man!.. yea we did some experimental stuff to the car that im waiting on revealing.. i think people will get a kick outta it..
and seeing as you bumped this post that was so old.. i gotta put SOMEthing for the folks..
I wanted to have kinda the same funk as my old wheels.. i liked the directionals.. but i wanted them blacked out and more race inspired.
so.. i ordered these.. same directional, but 3 peice and blacked out.. flat center and anthracite lips. and after a 4 month wait.. but there here and they fit perfect!
they are 18X10s and 20X12s...

that car is truly amazing. i like your style. always wanted a black on black ...on black 67/68 with a rs front. my next build will be somewhat styled like that. i like cars that when you look at them make you automatically think things...like the villan's car in a movie, or you look at the car and words pop into your head "in your case" sadistic, evil, wicked...but anyways sweet ride man! congrats.

i may get crucified for it.. ahhaha.. some of my ideas are WILD.
we did some things to the car that i havent seen anyone do.. so im waiting til its a bit more complete before i devulge..
its close to paint.. and after its in paint im going to flood here.
