Does anyone on here have personal (or know someone with personal experience) with the Schwartz Precision Chassis for the 1st-Gen F-Bodies?
I was leaning towards either the new Art Morrison or DSE front subframe with the DSE integral weld-in subframe connectors and a Lateral Dynamics 3-link rear with a Watt's linkage (I prefer the 3-link/Watt's link set-up to any of the 4-bar/panhard set-ups. . .theoretically anyway. . .which is one of the reasons I'm not initially sold on the SPC. . .although I do believe the chassis itself is probably leaps and bounds better than the unibody construction of the stock F-Body).
Would you recommend for or against the SPC, and why?

any body? i have a 1970 mustang im thinking of going this route with and would be curious to hear some opinions and maybe some pics of how it mounts to the car? like the back, does the fram replce the rear rails(like cut them out) or just go inside them. he says it will fit a 335 tire so you have to cut out the rear frame rail to make that happen.

thanks matt

I don't have any personal experience with his product but I can say that his reputation precedes him. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in the least!

Why don't you call Jeff and talk to him about his set up. I'm sure he can take you for a ride in one given some notice.

I'm working on building a shop car / test vehicle so people can come and drive it. It's a 81 Turbo Trans Am, chassis should be done for that one in August. The next complete car we'll have on the road is the 71 Cutlass LSX as shown in the Aug issue of Hot Rod. We've shipped over 30 GM chassis and about a dozen Mustang to builders all over the world. We have 8 first gen Camaros in process.
BTW, We've also done over a dozen LS7's including twin turbos.
Too busy with customer stuff to keep an eye on the forum, sorry.
But call me with any questions.
Thanks
Jeff
