Go to the Turbo Buick boards for the information you desire. That's were you will find the BEST 2004R builders and recommendations. They run behind low 9 second turbo cars, they will last behind your car!

DRW Transmission in the San Diego area. You will find that most of the Turbo Buick's use Donnies stuff.

PM me if you need more info.

If you're still looking for info, I'm one of those Turbo Buick guys, and I've been doing some research for my own bullet-proof 200R.

High-quality options include the real Art Carr (http://www.cpttransmission.com/), CKperformance (http://www.ckperformance.com), Century Transmissions (http://www.centurytransmission.com) (not much on the site yet though), Eric Shertz's Hi-Pro Transmissions (http://dynotechperformance.com), and Bruce at PTSXtreme.com (http://www.ptsxtreme.com), who may as well have invented the 200R. He has designed and produced some of his own billet pieces to strengthen the critical areas and this place is one of the 9-sec. capable transmission shops. He is also (allegedly) the supplier of the billet parts all of those other shops above use. Bruce also sells DIY parts to rebuild it yourself, if your so inclined.

A 200R at the level you want should not be difficult at all for any of those shops, and most, if not all, come with warranties. The turbo Regal "BRF" 200R's were built to handle the stock 355lb-ft., so with a few key beefed up pieces, 450lb-ft. isn't really that much of a stretch. The forward drum is the most important piece, from what I've heard. Hope this helps. Sometimes the Buick guys seem to be anti-social on their forums.

I have a Bowtie Overdrives (BTO) level 3 200-4r in my chevy II and they said it was rated up to 650hp when I spoke to them on the phone.

I have one of Eric's Hi-Pro Transmissions (http://dynotechperformance.com/) 200R4 trannies in my 73 AMX, and I am very pleased with it.

Thanks guys,I am going to see how far I can push the one I have in now,but i think when I spray the car I'll probably blow the trans ,so I was looking for alternatives.I see that I have more options now than what I thought at first.
