I seen a guy on ebay selling a video showing that he can make 1000hp from a 351. Even if it's stroked and running nitruos, is that possible? Anyone with a stroked 351 (408 I think) think it's possible? And if you do have one what are you churning out for hp and torque?

:throw: <----like this one alot!

My buddy makes more with less ci.... Manny Buginga, do a Google. And he does it reliably.

What none of the nitrous guys will tell you is how many pistons they'll go through in a season to make the kind of power.

Ive seen windsor block split from stem to stern at under 500HP Ive also seen a few cranks not in the block but the main webing still attached.

1000 HP out of a windsor seems crazy

All depends on the power adder. A Boss 302 block is the minimum I would use though.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I don't know what the 351W blocks are good to HPwise, but it is higher than the 302 blocks which tend to split down the middle at about 500-550HP.

The 69-74 351W's have a higher nickel content in the iron and are stronger than other years of production. I've heard many good things about the 93-96 351W roller blocks as well.

The 302 blocks from 88-92 5.0 mustangs (might be off a year in either direction) are supposed to be supper high nickel content blocks too. Supposedly a lot of guys tear these down with 150,000 miles and cylinders don't need to be bored at all or even honed.

If you're asking ,can you make 1000hp with 351 cubes?, the answer is yes. If you use an aftermarket block, you can do it reliably, if you use a stock block-you may only do it once!

1100hp+ is possible also. But it isn't cheap!!!

four digit power can be easily done, but the 351W block would not be the ideal way. A Dart block, AFRs and a healthy forced induction system would do the trick.

Ford just re-released the Boss 302 block which is just as strong as the others...

Use the Motorsport block, build it over 400 cubes, make 750 hp and spray 2 stages of N2O 75 solid hit and and spray 175 on progressive.
It would be a beast.
Or buld it to make about 1200 on boost with a turbo.

From what I've heard, if you're going to use a turbo, you'll want less than 350ci....

Unless you're looking for more than 1400 hp.

We use to use an old Boss block and a 100mm turbo and made a 1500hp with ease. The best part is we ran that car for 3 years without changing a part except for headgaskets. The latest rage is big blocks with twins make 25-3000hp! Insane.
