I recently had to drop the pan on my 700r4 and noticed the bottom was coated with a thin layer of graphite colored sediment. The trans has less than 500 miles. Is some sediment normal for a new trans that is just being broken in?

Should I be concerned?

All the shifts seem fine, I am going to refill and take it for another test drive to make sure it holds each gear and down shifts as it should.

I will come back with results tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks.

Some graphite looking stuff in the pan is pretty much normal but a pic of the pan with the gunk would help.
