Whats next? This is getting rediculous. Next thing you know, another one is going to be strapped around the rotor and you wont even be able to see the thing! have fun cooling it.

Just saw something like that on TV the other day. It was some company modeling and testing a 360* caliper for normal production cars. They were testing a prototype on a taurus. Looked pretty trick and they claimed a pretty significant weight savings (I can't remember the exact number.) I'm going to see if I can dig up more info...

Oh yeah, that was at SEMA last year. I skipped it because I was more interested in the old school Volvo wagon sitting next to it. You can kinda see it in the last picture.

Found a couple links om the 360* brakes. They actually have no pistons but a bladder type thing that goes around the entire hub. It is currently only used on trucks and trailers but there are automotive prototypes and apparently Renault is considering a version of the system. Pretty neat stuff. Check it out!

About the 360* Brakes. A guy out of Indianna is making them for bikes now. Jay Hart with Chopsmith's Chopper out of Gasoline Alley is using them. He was on biker build off the other day, he using our Englishwheeling Machines. The guy from 360* Braking came out to our shop with a demonstration of the system and it was ridiculous. Ill see if I can get anymore information on them.
